Dog that looks like snoopy and has a name like Charlie. (But don't call him that.) He's the world's best watch-dog and can even open doors! Charlie's got an interesting past. He's also got a new friend!
The book Charlie is going to help his new friend with his new dog. A dog who looks like a pig!
It's the perfect beginning to an adventure series for young readers!
The story starts off as a real adventure as Charlie and his friends discover that things aren't always what they seem. And you might want to watch out! You may even be in danger! (No, really!)
Here's the back cover description:
Snoopy is Charlie's dog. You see him at the mall, but you've never met him? And his name's Snoopy? And Charlie's name is Charles?
Charlie is in fact Charlie Brown. In fact he's the Charlie Brown of all dogs. In fact he's the Charlie Brown of all dogs with a best friend named Snoopy. (Yes, really!)
Here's the plot summary from Amazon.com:
Charlie Brown is a dog with a best friend named Snoopy. Snoopy lives in the city where he can fly. Charlie Brown lives in the country where he has to walk.
This book is based on a true story. Charlie Brown and Snoopy lived together for many years. They would talk together for hours, play together and learn together. But Charlie Brown was not as good as Snoopy in anything. In fact, he was even worse than the famous baseball team the New York Yankees. (And the New York Yankees are even better than the Washington Senators!)
As time went on, Charlie Brown started to believe that he was not a very good dog. In fact, he believed that he was the worst dog in the whole world. He would talk about this, and he would talk about this, and he would talk about this. And he would never say a thing!
As Charlie Brown and Snoopy get older, their friendship is tested. Charlie Brown must learn that things are not always what they seem and his true self is not always what it seems to be.
It's time for the Charlie Brown Christmas. Charlie Brown is ready for the big Christmas play. He has made all of his parts, his shoes are polished and his coat is trimmed. The stage is set.
But things don't go according to plan. Charlie Brown meets a problem he can't solve. In fact he can't figure it out at all!
As you've seen from this review of Charlie Brown Christmas, I like this book! I like it so much, in fact, that I decided to read it again. Why?

I'm getting ready for a busy day tomorrow. I have to work, and then I have an appointment with the orthodontist.
This is the appointment I will have with the orthodontist. He is the first to see me. I have my teeth checked and then I get a fitting for new retainers. The fitting will take about half an hour.
Then I'll have to go to work. I'm supposed to be there at 9. That gives me plenty of time to have a nice dinner at home with my family.

My friend Julie wrote this review of Charlie Brown Christmas. You can read it by clicking here.
In the midst of a busy day, it's easy to forget about Charlie Brown's best friend, Snoopy, and his best friend, Snoopy. It's fun to see him as he takes his role as Charlie Brown's best friend. We get to watch Snoopy as he tries to help Charlie Brown become a better person.
I love this story! I love it so much, in fact, that I have read it about five times! I enjoy watching Snoopy and Charlie Brown and their adventure together. They have so many good things to share with each other, and I like to watch them try to figure out what they have to do in order to make things better for themselves and for each other.
I'm so glad that I got the chance to meet Snoopy and Charlie Brown when I was a child.

I can remember when my mom first read this story to me. It was about the Christmas play and it was my first introduction to Charlie Brown. I had seen him on the television show that was based on this story, so I already knew his name.
But, to be honest, I didn't know who he was until I read the story.
As you may recall from my previous post, I am reading the story for the first time again. I thought it would be fun to have an adult read it to me so I could see some things in a different way. It's fun to see what the story looks like to someone who grew up with it.
I thought my mom did a really good job! She read this story to me twice and she had me try to figure out what she was talking about each time. And it's true, the first time she read it, I was a little confused! She kept telling me about this and that and I couldn't really see what she was talking about. It took me awhile
