Why is my cat so ugly?
She is old and very grumpy. Her personality in no way reflects the beauty she's got. She has long ears, long hr and a short tl. She's even got her teeth and claws in her long hr. She's also very sensitive and when you hit her with your hands she cries all the way. Why isn't she a handsome, happy animal?
My mom always says that she's beautiful but I just don't see it. I asked my mom if she thinks I'm pretty and she sd yes. I even think that this is true but it's not because I haven't seen the world yet. This is how she described my sister: a beautiful, handsome girl.
Does it really matter what mom says? The thing is that my cat never takes care of herself. She's always so messy and eats from an open jar. I really want to do something about it but I don't know what. Can you help me?
I'm sorry to hear that you and your mom have had a difficult experience. I'm not sure what I can say, as a scientist, to help your mom come to a different conclusion. If I had my way, I'd rather not spend time thinking about my cat, my sister or myself.
I agree with the previous posters: what my mom says really does not matter. She's wrong. Your sister is beautiful, but even if she was not, you are. You are beautiful. You are the one who matters. You are perfect in every way.
The thing is, even though we all like to think of ourselves as beautiful or pretty, we are all made up of so many parts. This includes the outside: hr, ears, tl, teeth, claws. It includes the inside: blood vessels, eyes, heart, brn. And it includes the inside-the-inside: bone, muscles, skin, cartilage, and organs. You are your body. You are your mind. You are your soul. Your soul is made of the spirit and the body.
You can't help how others see you. You can't help how they think. But you can help you. If you care about how you look, you will make choices about how you eat, and how you dress and groom yourself. You are your spirit. You are your soul. If you are being true to yourself, you will be the happiest you can be. If you are being true to yourself, you will get along with others, you will make the best life you can.
As you get older, you are going to experience some changes, but your spirit is eternal. It's the way your soul works, whether you know it or not. To my knowledge, it's the way you were before your mom was born, and it will be the way you are after you die. What you do now to try to fix what happened to your body in the past and what might be happening to it now is not going to change who you are. It will change your appearance. It will change your health. Your body will stop growing, but your soul will stay the same.
And if you try to change your appearance, you won't really be able to. You will spend money on clothes that you know you will look like a fool in, and you will regret that decision in the end. You'll start taking long trips to the mall, and you'll try to find more hr removers. You'll look into every new diet that's "in" and you'll start using hr coloring. And in the end, you will have a less-healthy body, and you'll look even worse in your new clothes.
You are you. You are who you have been. You are not what others think you are or what you think you should be. You are who you are. You are your soul. If you have been eating a poor diet, your body will reflect that in the way it looks. But if you are healthy and fit, your body will reflect that health and fitness. If you don't like who you are right now, the only thing that can change that is you. You have the power to change yourself. I'm not saying that you have to become an overnight success. I'm saying that you don't have to accept the current state of yourself. There is a level of change that you can make, and if you are ready to make that change, there's a level of change that you can make.
The more work you put into changing yourself, the more results you will see. Think of all the money you spent on clothes, hr products, and makeup. Think of all the money you spent on the gym and diet programs you tried. Think of all the money you spent on all the diets and supplements that were "recommended" to you. Think of all the money you've spent on all the books and advice that you've been given. Think of all the money you've spent on the programs and exercise equipment. Think of all the money you've spent on your dream.
Now think of all the money you've spent on the clothes, hr products, makeup, and lifestyle you didn't have to spend. You didn't have to spend money on anything except your self-esteem. You've been living a lie. Your body is not as bad as you thought it was. You can be more. There is still more that you can do.
I'm not saying that it will be easy to make a change. I'm not saying that you'll be proud of what you've done. I'm not saying that you won't have any regrets. But no matter what happens, you'll be proud of the person you have become.

### **_It Starts with You_**
_The way you treat yourself is the way you'll treat others._
It is only when you start this new life with yourself that you will begin to reap the benefits of a successful life. If you approach life from the point of view that you have to do it all, then you are guaranteed to fl. But if you approach the situation with a positive attitude and believe that you can change, then you can be successful.
When I'm teaching young people, I try to stress the following words: _You have the power. You can do it. You can make it work._
It doesn't matter whether you're 19, 29, or 59, you can make it work. _You_ are the person who is going to make the new life you are going to enjoy.
